Cookbook Club

$60.00

Love cookbooks but find they sit on your shelf more than in your kitchen? Join our Cookbook Club at Cooks & Books for a fun, hands-on way to bring recipes to life while connecting with fellow food lovers!

Every 6 weeks, we’ll feature a different cookbook (each session is a separate event). You’ll have the chance to explore the recipes at home, then gather together for a lively evening of cooking, tasting, and sharing. In class, we’ll prepare a couple of dishes straight from the featured book while enjoying great conversation and a welcoming atmosphere. At each meet-up, you’ll join a group of fellow food lovers for:

  • A cozy, instructor-led evening cooking together from the book

  • Two elevated, accessible recipes brought to life in real time

  • Shared conversation over a meal you’ve prepared together

February 4th, 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Join us at Cooks & Books for a special evening featuring: Dinner Tonight: 100 Simple, Healthy Recipes for Every Night of the Week. Copies of the book are available for purchase in-store or through this affiliate link

Host & Instructor: Lauren Bettger

Lauren's Bio

Lauren finds joy and connection in the kitchen. She founded a Cookbook Club with friends over a decade ago, and it has been thriving ever since, bringing people together through shared meals and culinary exploration. She enjoys baking sourdough, designing charcuterie boards, and crafting her own recipes. Enthusiastic about teaching, she guides others in the kitchen, shares tips and tricks, and inspires confidence and creativity in every cook. Using fresh, seasonal ingredients, Lauren brings a hands-on, approachable style to everything she creates.

Before following her passion for food and community, Lauren spent years teaching kindergarten and first grade, nurturing curiosity and confidence in her students. Today, she continues to share that gift as a part-time reading interventionist, guiding children to discover both skill and joy in reading.

Whether in the classroom or the kitchen, Lauren’s purpose is the same: to foster connection, spark creativity, and turn everyday moments into something meaningful.
